W is for Waffle

Took the kids to one of my favorite restaurants "Waffle House"!! Teddy asked me what letter was on the cup as he sipped his orange juice. (we haven't learned W yet...taking our time with preschool has been fun!) I said that's a W. From there...he learned W! It was a fun lesson and even Danenn got in to W says w.. as in waffle W says w.. w.. w..! It was a fun school lesson.

This made me realize that I should be using more of these moments to teach. I get so caught up in the concept that has to be learned that I forget to make it really fun! If you have any tips to make homeschooling fun, let me know!!!
